Anemoia notebook

£19.00

These hand-bound, letterpress printed notebooks are A6 in size, with 96 off-white plain pages, made of 120gsm, FSC certified, acid-free paper.

The soft covers are made of one-off handmade paper pieces (made by me). Their irregularities are a result of the paper-making process and the light grey colour comes from the ink on the printed paper recycled to make them.

The heading ‘Anemoia’ is printed using vintage wood type and the definition on the back cover is printed in metal type, both on my Adana printing press.

The notebooks have an exposed binding using a French link stitch in tone-on-tone white linen thread.

Dimensions

A6 (105mm x 148mm)

The story

Anemoia: nostalgia for a time you have never known, from John Koenig’s Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows

Do you ever get that feeling? It is made even sweeter by the inescapable dose of imagination that can make any time truly ours, tinged with myth and inaccuracies. History is a serious thing, but picking and twisting images and objects to create our own imaginary memories of the past is a guilty pleasure we can all happily indulge in.
